Walking Loops
The Walking Loops project was exhibited in Alterations Alteractions Altercations in the Concourse Gallery at Emily Carr University in Vancouver BC in July 2013. This group show featured seven artists from Emily Carr's MAA program. The project consists of two works:
- Walking Loops 1, coloured pencil and acrylic on frosted drafting film
- Walking Loops 2, single channel sound recording, 08:42, engineered by Arran Fisher (listen below)
Walking Loops is an ongoing project that investigates the rhythm and ritual of everyday experience and its connection to time and place. Using a GPS device and an audio recorder, Nordean makes various maps of her daily walks. These works are two representations of this same repeated activity.
