Tracks series
In the Tracks series, I aim to generate a tension between the rigid meticulousness of the repeated small brushstrokes and the free-form organic shapes that form. When viewed from afar, the rhythm of the obsessive repetition and the substantial investment of time is evident. From a more intimate proximity, the character of the individual brushstrokes, the quality of the colour, and the resulting imperfections of my own hand can be considered.
